The team at microbiology specialist Lab M is celebrating the company’s highly successful participation in this year’s Medica trade fair, which took place in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 18 - 21 November. This world forum provided the opportunity for productive discussions with both customers and distributors, and Lab M’s stand was busy throughout the show.
“With so many people now questioning participation in large trade shows, it was really good to confirm that, for us, Medica is a valuable event,” said Lab M’s sales and marketing manager Colin LeGood. “It’s a great place to learn more from users of culture media and gives us the opportunity to meet with so many of our distributors over the course of just a few days.”
Delivering dehydrated culture media, an expanding range of chromogenics, and an extensive portfolio of media supplements, Lab M has an international reputation for the high quality of its products and its support. The company’s achievements at the exhibition continue the successes of a year that has seen the further expansion of an already strong distribution network into multiple new territories across the globe.
Offering reliability in both product quality and support services, Lab M adds value by maintaining collaborative dialogue with customers and stakeholders. By doing so, the company is able to call upon the most up to date science and real world feedback, as well drawing from its extensive in-house experience. Lab M’s offering is therefore both relevant and purposeful, meeting the needs of the customer every time.

The ability to determine the microbiological status of water is important not only for potable supplies, industrial waters and wastewater treatment, it also applies to the testing and monitoring of many different water sources, including those used for recreational purposes. To meet all these needs, Lab M provides microbiological culture media for applications ranging from the estimation of overall numbers of culturable micro-organisms right through to the highly sensitive detection of faecal contamination and the specific isolation of Legionella pneumophila.
